About

The Communications Network is for communications professionals and graphic designers in ministry in south Florida. We’re on the same team. There’s no charge to join the network…we’re just a group of normal people who want to learn from each other. Ministry can be challenging and stressful; our group was created to support, help and challenge one another. Join the conversation!
A little about the people behind this network:

Ok, there are no “people”…it’s just me. I’m Jenn Collins, a communications director at Oasis Church. The vision for this network came about when I started this job in March of 2006 and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I had just graduated college with a major in journalism, but I quickly found that my education didn’t prepare me for all that I would face as communications director. I need this network more than anyone.

I hope this blog will be a resource for you as you do communications in ministry. I also hope that we can share tips and tricks with each other, as well as our talents, skills and knowledge.

I am the webservant for Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Margate, FL - a volunteer position for the small (approx. 300 member) church of which I am a member.

I am looking for a group of webdesigners and gernally computer savvy people who are interested in the professional and technical skills development of others in Broward/South Florida.

Please let me know if I have found the right place, and if so please put me on your e-mailing list.
